Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of childhood heartache gained widespread recognition in the beginning of the 20th century. Swift began to show an interest in the music industry at a young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid beyond the roles of children's entertainers, through her first public appearance in front of a large crowd. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game at the age of 11. She was already making songs. The next year, she took up guitar. Drawing inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of the tween years and alienation. When she was 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania for a move in Hendersonville Tennessee so she could dedicate more time interacting with country artists near Nashville.
